Lead is one of the oldest and most durable roofing materials available, and it’s still the best option for flashings, valleys and bay roofs where a watertight, long-lasting finish matters most. Correctly installed lead work can last well over 100 years — but poor lead work is one of the most common causes of roof leaks we’re called out to fix.
